The Athletic has reported that Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton could miss one week of action with a right knee injury.
This is good news for Buxton, who may avoided a serious knee injury after leaving Friday’s game against Boston after sliding into second base.
The 28-year-old underwent an MRI Friday, which revealed no structural damage from the injury.
Minnesota has yet to determine whether Buxton will take an IL stint or remain on the active roster while he recovers.
Buxton’s recorded three home runs, four RBI, a stolen base, and four runs to start out the 2022 season.
