Newsday has reported that a New York Mets staff member tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
Multiple players and coaches are noted to be close contacts, and the team are currently awaiting test results.
The Mets are scheduled to play the Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon, and some players and coaches could be unavailable for the contest.
New York is off to a strong start to the season with a 5-2 record atop of the NL East.
