The Indianapolis Colts signed former defensive player of the year Stephon Gilmore to a two-year contract.
Gilmore joins a Colts defense that was rated the eighth best coverage by Pro Football Focus in 2021.
The 31-year-old previously spent four years with the Patriots before playing for Carolina last season.
With the addition of both Gilmore and safety Rodney McLeod, Indianapolis could have a top secondary for the 2022 season and beyond.
Gilmore has a career 27 interceptions, 116 passes defended, six forced fumbles, and 427 total tackles.
