Dejounte Murray expected to play Tuesday

Associated Press

The San Antonio Spurs expect Dejounte Murray to return to the floor Tuesday after missing the last two games.

Spurs head coach Greg Popovich said that Murray was close to playing on Sunday, but he was ultimately ruled out with an illness.

San Antonio will need Murray back as they need to win two of their last four games to qualify for the playoff play-in tournament.

The 25-year-old has been a beast this season, averaging 21.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 9.3 assists across 67 games played.

The Spurs are on the road their next two games to face the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
