The Buffalo Bills are building a new $1.4 billion stadium by 2026 in Orchard Park, New York.
The new stadium will hold 62,000 fans and feature an open-air structure.
It will be funded with $850 million in taxpayer money and begin to build in Spring of 2023.
The deal with New York includes a 30-year lease that Governor Kathy Hochul described as “ironclad†in an interview with The Buffalo News before announcing the deal Monday.
Ongoing maintenance and capital costs could add an additional $13 million per year, and New York is prepared to contribute $600 million and Erie County $250 million toward construction.
