The New Orleans Saints re-signed quarterback Jameis Winston to a two-year, $28 million contract.
The deal includes $21 million guaranteed.
Winston played well for New Orleans in 2021 before tearing his ACL in Week 8, which kept him sidelined for the remainder of the season.
He posted a 5-2 QB record throwing for 1,170 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just three interceptions last season.
Despite playing well, the Saints were also without wide receiver Michael Thomas which could have enhanced Winston’s play.
With both Winston and Thomas expected to return in 2022 for New Orleans, the Saints are looking solid for the upcoming season.
Winston, now 28, was previously on a one-year deal signed with the Saints in March of 2021.
