Bryce Harper took batting practice Monday at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
Harper seems to be making steady progress in his recovery from surgery to repair his fractured left thumb.
If all goes well, a rehab assignment could be made soon with a hopeful return to the Phillies lineup within a few weeks.
Before the injury, the 29-year-old was looking at another run for an MVP award slashing .318/.385/.599 with 15 home runs, 49 runs scored, 48 RBI, and nine steals in 64 games.
The Phillies are currently sitting third in the National League Wild Card spot with a 63-51 record.
