The Los Angeles Chargers agreed to terms with cornerback J.C. Jackson on a five-year, $82.5 million contract.
After recently acquiring Khalil Mack from Chicago, the Chargers are continuing to bolster the defensive side of the ball inking Jackson to a new deal.
Pro Football Focus ranked the 26-year-old out of Florida the seventh best cornerback in 2021.
Jackson is now among the league’s highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL with an annual average of $16.5 million per season.
Since joining the league in 2018 with the Patriots, Jackson leads the league in interceptions with 25.
