The Kansas City Chiefs have released linebacker Anthony Hitchens, creating $8.4 million in cap space.
Hitchens was previously on a five-year, $45 million contract signed with the Chiefs in 2018.
The solid 29-year-old racked up 80 total tackles in 2021 with Kansas City, along with four tackles for loss and two QB hits.
Hitchens should be able to find a home in his 30-year-old season as the free agency period moves forward.
