USA Today Sports

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins and catcher Andy Rutschman are getting the day off Thursday against the Rays.

It looks like a routine maintenance day for both players heading into an early afternoon game versus Tampa Bay.

Mullins has hit 7-17 since the All-Star break that included a five-game hit steak with one home run, two steals, and four RBI.

Rutschman’s scored two runs in Wednesday night’s matchup and has slashed .321/.471/.566 across his last 70 plate appearances.

Baltimore will start Austin Hays, Ryan McKenna, and Anthony Santander in the outfield and Robinson Chirinos is starting at catcher.

For the Rays, Yandy Diaz is also absent from the lineup for Thursday’s matchup.
