Pittsburgh Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert said quarterback Mason Rudolph would be the starter if the season began today.
Colbert, who’s stepping aside as GM after the 2022 NFL Draft spoke on Rudolph:
“He’s 5-4-1 as a starter. We’re excited to see what’s next for Mason.”
The GM also said the Steelers will add two more quarterbacks by training camp, so this could just be a general answer to give to the media.
It’ll be interesting to see which route Pittsburgh takes heading into free agency and the draft, so Rudolph isn’t set in stone just yet.
The 26-year-old has thrown for 139.2 passing yards per game with an 80.9 rating in 17 games in his career.
