Phoenix Suns guards Landry Shamet and Cameron Payne are expected to return to the team on Thursday according to Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
This is good news for Phoenix, especially with the announcement that superstar PG Chris Paul will be sidelined for the next six to eight weeks with a right thumb injury.
However, it’s bad news for fantasy managers with CP3 out for the fantasy basketball playoffs.
Depending on which route head coach Monty Williams takes, both Shamet and Payne could see heavier usage with Paul being sidelined.
Devin Booker will certainly handle more point guard duties as well.
Phoenix takes on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, who have the fourth-worst record (18-40) in the league.
*UPDATE*
Cameron Payne (right wrist sprain) has been ruled out of Thursday’s matchup with the Thunder.
