The Denver Broncos have placed a franchise tag on safety Justin Simmons.
Under the tag, Simmons will make $13.7 million for the 2021 season.
It’ll be the 27-year-old’s second consecutive year being tagged unless he and the Broncos can reach a long-term agreement before July 15.
Simmons has played over 3,000 consecutive snaps since 2018 and was named to the Pro Bowl last season.
The talented free safety totaled 96 tackles in 2020 with five interceptions and 9 passes defended.
