According to the Athletic, the Minnesota Timberwolves are seeking a trade for a power forward to improve the position.
Minnesota has expressed interest in Orlando’s Aaron Gordon and Atlanta’s John Collins who are both available to be traded.
Talks were held with the Magic for Gordon before he sprained his ankle last month, and they’re expected to resume once he’s healthy.
Collins will be a restricted free agent this offseason, and he’ll likely demand a big contract as this is the final year of his rookie deal.
Gordon’s numbers have dipped this season, averaging 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 19 games played.
Collins is averaging 18.0 points and 7.6 rebounds in 36 games in 2021.
