The Atlanta Braves signed 65-year-old manager Brian Snitker to a contract extension through 2023.
The deal includes a club option for the 2024 season.
Snitker has proven him worth as team manager, and he’s guided the Braves to win three straight NL East division titles.
He was also was the 2018 NL Manager of the Year while finishing third in voting in 2019, and fourth in 2020.
Atlanta begins Grapefruit League spring training games on February 28 against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Their Opening Day series beginning on April 1 will be against the division rival Philadelphia Phillies.
