Cleveland Indians team president announced that starting pitcher Shane Bieber has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Pedisent Chris Antonetti said that Bieber has very mild symptoms, and he should get cleared to join the team for training camp within the next few days.
Bieber won the 2020 AL Cy Young Award after posting a dazzling 1.63 ERA, 0.866 WHIP, and 122/21 K/BB ratio in 77 1/3 innings last season.
The 25-year-old is currently on a one-year, $623,000 contract with Cleveland.
His big payday will come sooner than later.
