Team USA Basketball is planning another bubble scenario in Las Vegas, Australia, and and Spain to train before this summer’s Olympics.

The team is also planning an open training camp to start the week of July 4, which is around playoff time in the NBA.

With the playoffs scheduled to end in late July, team USA petitioned to the Olympic committee to make roster changes during the Olympics to account for active players remaining in the playoffs.

“Rosters by a certain date doesn’t make any sense,” said managing director Jerry Colangelo.

“What we’re seeking is flexibility to substitute players very late and to get the best players on the court. It doesn’t just apply to us but for all the countries.”
