Magic granted disabled player exception worth $6.1M

The Orlando Magic have been granted a $6.1 million disabled player exception for the loss of point guard Markelle Fultz.

Fultz suffered a torn ACL in early January that ended his 2020-21 season.

According to the Athletic, the player exception will expire on April 19.

Fultz was averaging a career high in points and assists in his young career at 12.9 and 5.4.
