According to ESPN, the Toronto Blue Jays signed shortstop Marcus Semien to a one-year, $18 million contract.
“Semien finished third in the AL MVP voting in 2019 with an .892 OPS, 33 home runs, 92 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and 123 runs scored in 162 games for the A’s before stumbling to a .223/.305/.374 slash line with Oakland during the condensed 2020 campaign.” – Rotoworld
Rotoworld also reported that the Blue Jays will use Semien at second base for his one-year stint.
Toronto’s lineup is looking better and better after signing George Springer, and now adding Semien’s capabilities.
Semien will be part in a strong Blue Jays lineup featuring himself, Springer, Vladimir Guerro Jr., Teoscar Hernandez, Bo Bichette, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
