The New York Mets signed recently acquired Francisco Lindor to a one-year, $22.3 million contract to avoid arbitration.
It’s a high contract for a single season, but it looks like the Mets are being generous and hopeful for a long-term future deal with the shortstop.
Lindor slashed .258/.335/.415 with eight home runs and 27 RBI with Cleveland last season.
The 27-year-old should be a high draft pick for fantasy leagues this upcoming season with his ability to hit and steal bases.
