Denver Nuggets small forward Michael Porter Jr. will sit out Friday’s game against the Phoenix Suns due to contact tracing.
It’s unclear if Porter tested positive, or if he was a close contact with someone else.
With the league’s healthy and safety protocols, Porter could miss multiple days and games just like John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins in Houston last week.
This isn’t the best news for the Nuggets starting the season at 1-3 and fantasy owners with the 22-year-old off to a hot start to the 2020-21 season.
Porter is averaging 19.5 points on 56.6% shooting and 6.8 rebounds in Denver’s first four games.
Paul Millsap and Will Barton should see a bump in minutes as long as Porter’s sidelined.
