New England Patriots All-Pro defensive back Stephon Gilmore will undergo season ending surgery to repair a partially torn quad.

Gilmore suffered the injury in Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins.

The good news is that there’s no structural damage, so he should be ready to go for the start of next season.

Gilmore has one-year and $17,170,834 remaining on his contract before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2022.
