The Miami Heat and improved big man Bam Adebayo are closing in on a 5-year, $163 million max contract extension.

If they complete this deal, it makes it nearly impossible for Miami to pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo if he becomes a free agent next offseason.

Bam finished the season averaging 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists while being named to the All-Defensive 2nd team and first time All-Star selection.

Expect Adebayo to continue to improve playing alongside Jimmy Butler and the Heat core.
