Suns, Thunder finalize Chris Paul trade

The Oklahoma City Thunder have finalized a deal with the Phoenix Suns to get Chris Paul.

The Suns will send Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Ty Jerome, Jalen LeQue, and a 2022 first round pick to OKC in exchange for Paul and Abdel Nader.

Phoenix will regret giving away Oubre in this deal after he improved vastly from his days in Washington.

Oubre averaged a career-high 18.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals last season.

Trading for Chris Paul won’t necessarily help the Suns in playoff contention, especially now that he’s 35-years-old.

Expect Phoenix to earn another 7-8 seed in the western conference before being bounced out the first round of the playoffs.
