NBPA to vote on Dec. 22 start date Thursday or Friday

USA Today Sports

The National Basketball Players Association will vote on Thursday or Friday on the proposed December 22 start date for the upcoming season.

There’s been a group of players that would like to delay the start for MLK Day on January 18, but the league could lose billions in revenue if this is the case.

With the proposed December 22 start date, training camps would begin on December 1.

The season would have 72 games, along with a play in tournament for seeds 7-10 in each conference.
