The Chicago Cubs have exercised first baseman Anthony Rizzo’s $16.5 million club option for 2021.

Russo was in a slump nearly all of 2020 and he hit a poor .222/.342/.414 with 11 home runs and 24 RBI.

The 31-year-old will have to bounce back next season in a contract year.
