Chargers cancel practice with positive COVID test

USA Today Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers canceled practice Thursday after right guard Ryan Groy tested positive for COVID-19.

Groy has payed in four games so far with the Chargers this season, but he won’t suit up this week after testing positive.

“Close contacts with Groy have been identified,” the Chargers stated. “They remain home today and will participate in meetings remotely.”

“As of right now, we feel like we have it contained,” Chargers head coach Anthony said and went on to mention that it was his call to cancel practice.

If any more positive tests show up for the Chargers, their week eight matchup against the Broncos is in jeopardy.
