Clippers interested in Rajon Rondo

USA Today Sports

The Los Angeles Clippers are interested in veteran point guard Rajon Rondo according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Rondo is expected to decline his $2.7 million player option when free agency hits and will hit the open market.

The Clippers are looking to add point guard depth, and Rondo just proved he’s got gas left in the tank playing a big role in the Lakers’ championship run.

Backup Reggie Jackson is solid offensively, but he’s lacking substantially in the defense department.

It’ll be interesting to see who offers Rondo the better deal when the open market hits.
