The Miami Heat are preparing to pursue 2x MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo heavily if he becomes a free agent at the end of next season.
However, this will all mean nothing if Giannis signs the super-max extension that he’s eligible for with Milwaukee.
Antetokounmpo also stated a couple months ago that he plans on going nowhere and that he wants to win a championship with the Bucks.
Miami and other teams think they can persuade Giannis into leaving next summer, especially after the Bucks’ second-round playoff loss to the Heat.
Golden State was another team swirling around rumors that they wanted to land the Greek Freak.
Teams are hopeful that Giannis will hit the free open market, but with a super-max extension of over $200 million it’ll be hard to see him leave Milwaukee.
