The Minnesota Wild re-signed defenseman Carson Soucy to a three-year, $8.25 million extension.

The move keeps Soucy off the free agency market he could have tested on Friday.

Soucy accounted for seven goals, seven assists, 50 blocks and 69 blocks over 55 games with Minnesota last season.
