The New York Mets have acquired right handed starting pitcher Marcus Stroman from the Toronto Blue Jays for pitching prospects.

Stroman had a 6-11 record with the Blue Jays with a 2.96 ERA in 21 starts.

The 28-year-old is on a one-year, $7,400,000 contract that he signed with Toronto to avoid arbitration.
