The Houston Astros have inked Alex Bregman to a 6-year, $100 million contract extension.
The deal will cover all three of Bregman’s arbitration-eligible years while also locking up what would have been his first two years of free agency.
Bregman, 24, exploded to a .926 OPS with 31 home runs, 103 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and 105 runs scored over 157 regular-season games last season for the American League West-champion Astros.
