Steven Wright has been suspended 80 games for violating the MLB’s joint drug prevention and treatment program.
Wright tested positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2.
Wright already undergone his appeal, which was denied.
This is the second straight year that Wright has served a suspension, as he received a 15-game ban for violating MLB’s domestic violence policy in early 2018.
Wright signed a 1-year, $1,375,000 with Boston in January.
