Pick – 49ers

Hard to choose between a matchup with two of the worst teams in the league, but 49ers have an edge in the defense category, which will earn them the victory. Oakland is ranked dead last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game, and the 49ers have an emrging back in Matt Breida and a veteran in Alfred Morris.

Chicago Bears (4-3) @ Buffalo Bills (2-6)

Pick – Bears

Buffalo can’t score the ball and they’ve put up a total of 11 points in their last two contests. This also isn’t good news as their facing the number seven overall defense in total yards allowed. After losing two in a row in weeks six and seven, the Bears bounced back with a win against the Jets. They’ll keep the ball rolling against a mediocre Buffalo ball club.

Kansas City Chiefs (7-1) @ Cleveland Browns (2-5-1)

Pick – Chiefs

This should be an easy victory for Kansas City. They’ve lost just one game this season to a top tier team and taken of business for their seven victories. No one’s quite sure what’s going on in Cleveland after they’ve fired both head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Things could get ugly for Cleveland.

New York Jets (3-5) @ Miami Dolphins (4-4)

Pick – Dolphins

Two very similar teams on paper, and the Dolphins took the first matchup in week two 20-12 at MetLife Stadium.  After a 3-0 start, Miami has lost 4 of 5, so they’re looking for a bounce back game. The Jets have proven that if their run game can be stopped, they can easily be beat. With that being said, Miami knows what needs to be done to get the W.

Detroit Lions (3-4) @ Minnesota Vikings (4-3-1)

Pick – Vikings

Detroit is a very confusing ball club. They beat the Patriots and Packers, yet lose to the Jets and 49ers. This inconsistency makes them a hard pick to choose. Minnesota’s won three of their last four and they’ll be much more confident picking up a win heading into their bye week.

Not sure what is is, but the upset feels right in this one. Atlanta is fresh off a much needed bye week, and they’ve still got a lot to prove having a below .500 record. They’re currently third in the NFC south, which makes Sunday a much win situation in all accounts.

Pick – Panthers

The benching of Bucs QB Jameis Winston is much needed, but Ryan Fitzpatrick won’t be enough this week to earn Tampa Bay a victory. Carolina is rolling, and we’ve seen over and over that when Cam Newton has his confidence up, the Panthers are one of the toughest teams in the league to beat.

Pick – Steelers

Two divisional rivalries trending in opposite directions. Baltimore has dropped three of their last four while Pittsburgh has won three straight. Back in week four, Baltimore got the best of Pittsburgh, and this time the Steelers will return the favor. The AFC North isn’t quite up for grabs just yet, but the Steelers are slowly separating themselves from the rest of the competition.

Pick – Texans

No matter how Broncos starting QB Case Keenum performs week-to-week, he simply can’t be trusted. He’s too inconsistent and at times very careless with the ball. Denver has just one semi-impressive victory against Seattle in week one, but their two other victories came from the 1-7 Raiders and 2-6 Cardinals. The Texans have won five straight games, and they look like they mean business by acquiring wideout Demaryius Thomas to take the AFC South crown. Houston will keep on track at Mile High Stadium.

Los Angeles Chargers (5-2) @ Seattle Seahawks (4-3)

Pick – Chargers

The Chargers have four straight wins and they’re fresh off a bye week while Seattle won four of their last five. Seattle once again has a great defense, but LA has way too many ways to put points on the board no matter what. Seattle’s offense is also 25th in the league, which bodes even more so in favor of the Chargers to pick up their sixth victory.

Pick – Saints

This may be the most anticipated matchup so far this season. The undefeated Rams take on the high-powered Saints. Although New Orelans defense has given up a lot of points on the year, they’ll play inspiring defense on their home field. New Orleans in the Superdome are a force to be reckoned with, and the Rams are due for a loss. New Orleans’ offense is just as good as LA’s, and they’ve recently got their tandem duo back with RB Mark Ingram returning.

Green Bay Packers (3-3-1) @ New England Patriots (6-2)

Pick – Cowboys

All of the Cowboys’ wins have come on their home field so far this season. Picking up Amari Cooper can only help QB Dak Prescott in the passing game, as it’s what he’s been missing without similar receiver type Dez Bryant. The Titans have dropped three in a row and are averaging just 10.3 points per game in that stretch.
