The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defensemen Ryan McDonagh to a 7-year, $47.25 million contract extension. the 29-year-old played in 63 games last season with the Rangers and Lightning, scoring four goals and registering 29 points.

McDonagh has a career earnings of $25,849,695 in eight NHL seasons.
