The Tampa Bay Rays placed Shane McClanahan on the 15-day injury list and Brandon Lowe on the 10-day IL.

McClanahan is dealing with a left shoulder impingement after he was experiencing discomfort after he was warming in the bullpen Tuesday night.

The 25-year-old has performed great across his 2022 campaign, posting a 11-5 record and 2.20 ERA in 147.1 innings pitched.

He was scheduled for imaging scans on Wednesday, but the results of which have not been made available yet.

Lowe is suffering a right triceps contusion after being hit by a pitch last Friday.

This will unfortunately be the second stint on the IL for the second baseman who missed time in May and July.

Tampa Bay is currently behind the Yankees in the AL East with a 71-57 record, but they’re in the number one Wild Card slot as well.

To make a postseason run, the Rays will need both players in their rotations and healthy.
