Rams running back Cam Akers returned to practice Monday after being sidelined for two weeks with a “soft tissue injury.”
Akers was wearing his helmet and in full pads according to Rams writer Gilbert Manzano.
Akers should be on track to suit up for week one against the Buffalo Bills, but it’s unclear yet how many reps will be split between him and teammate Darrell Henderson.
The 23-year-old had a decent rookie season before suffering an Achilles injury leaving him sidelined for nearly all of the 2021 season.
Hopefully, Akers can remain healthy throughout next season as the Rams defend their Super Bowl Title.
