Relief pitcher Wily Peralta has been released by the Detroit Tigers.
Peralta went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment by Detroit to Triple-A Toledo last weekend.
The 33-year-old vet will now test the open market and will likely receive calls from multiple teams.
Over the last two seasons, Peralta has compiled a 6-5 record in 132 innings pitched with a solid 2.93 ERA.
He was on a one-year, $2.5 million contract with Detroit for 2022.
