Mike Trout is hoping to return to the Angels lineup this Friday on the road against the Detroit Tigers.
Angels interim manager Phil Nevin hinted at the idea of Trout returning on Tuesday night after steadily recovering from a back injury.
The 31-year-old told reporters on Wednesday morning that he is now healthy, pain-free, and a “full-go.”
Trout, who had previously been sidelined since July 12 from the injury, has hit 24 home runs, 51 RBI, and 55 runs scored across 79 games.
The Angels are currently out of playoff contention with a 51-66 record and sit ninth in the AL Wild Card standings.
