Kirk Cousins tested positive for COVID and will not play in the Minnesota Vikings preseason opener Sunday.
Cousins will likely have to distance himself from the team for at least five days unless he comes up with a negative test.
The 33-year-old also tested positive ahead of the Vikings’ critical Week 17 game against the Packers last season, making backup QB Sean Mannion to start in his place.
Cousins should be fine to start week one, but we’ll see how he feels after the quarantine process.
