Las Vegas Raiders running back Kenyan Drake has been cleared to begin training camp.
Drake unfortunately broke his ankle back in December, and he was not able to participate in June minicamp.
The 28-year-old said that he would not be “full speed” at training camp, but thought that he would be ready to go for the start of the season.Â
Drake played in 12 games with the Raiders last season, totaling 545 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns.
It’s unclear how new Las Vegas head coach Josh McDaniels will run his offense next season, but Drake could be in a common running back by committee situation with Josh Jacobs in 2022.
Drake signed a two-year, $11 million contract with the Raiders in 2021.
