Seattle Mariners breakout rookie Julio Rodriguez will serve his league-issued one-game suspension on Tuesday against the Nationals.

Rodriguez was slightly involved in last months brawl with the Angels, and he was able to get his suspension reduced to one game following his appeal.

The 21-year-old will sit out Tuesday night’s series opener against the Washington Nationals.

Rodriguez is pushing his way to what looks like could be the AL Rookie of the Year, and he’s producing solid numbers to open his career.

He’s slashing .274/.334/.477 with 15 home runs, 44 RBI, 50 runs scored, and he’s tied for second in the league with 21 stolen bases.

The rookie’s also been selected to his first All-Star Game, which takes place next week in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium.
