According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Charlotte Hornets are not currently offering Miles Bridges a max contract.
Bridges completed the final year of his four-year, $16,317,853 rookie contract with the team, and now he’s a restricted free agent.
If the Hornets don’t want to give the 24-year-old big money, another team certainly will.
Bridges has improved his game in a major way since entering the league, and he averaged career bests is numbers last season with 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
The free agency period opens on July 1, so it’ll be interesting to see how Bridges’ situation plays out this offseason.
