Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil will miss his fourth-straight consecutive game Saturday with hamstring tightness.
McNeil first left the game Monday against the Marlins with the injury, and he’s been sidelined each game after that.
The 26-year-old was off to a very solid start to begin the 2022 season, slashing .327/.386/.465 with 33 RBI and 33 runs scored.
The good news is that his status remains day-to-day, rather than hitting the injury list for now.
McNeil’s next chance to play will be in Sunday’s series finale in Miami one again to face the Marlins.
