Pitcher Max Fried won his arbitration case against the Atlanta Braves and will earn $6.85 million this season.
The Braves originally filed at $6.6 million when arbitration figures were exchanged back in March this year.
Fried has played his way into earning his salary this season, and he’s holding a 7-2 record, 2.77 ERA and 83 strikeouts across 87.2 innings pitched.
The 28-year-old out of Santa Monica has two more arbitration eligible seasons with Atlanta before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2025.
