Shohei Ohtani is back in the LA Angels starting lineup for the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Mariners.
Ohtani returns to the lineup Saturday after receiving the night off Friday to rest after Thursday, where he picked up the win on the mound allowing no earned runs and six strikeouts in six innings pitched.
The 27-year-old out of Japan is playing well at the dish so far in 2022, and he’s slashing .263/.337/.486 with 13 homers, 42 runs scored, 37 RBI, and seven steals.
In 11 games played on the mound this season, Ohtani’s posting a 5-4 record with a 3.28 ERA and 77 strikeouts across 60.1 innings pitched.
Ohtani deserves a look in DFS formats this afternoon facing Mariners righty Chris Flexen, who holds a 2-8 record and 4.30 ERA.
