According to Marc Stein, the Dallas Mavericks will explore signing Goran Dragic as a free agent this summer.
Dragic was apparently linked to the Mavs last year after being bought out by the San Antonio Spurs, but he ultimately chose to sign with the Brooklyn Nets.
It seems like Dallas are trying to pair Slovenians Dragic and Luka Doncic together in the NBA, and the two helped Slovenia win the 2017 EuroBasket title.
The Mavericks are making big moves this offseason, and they just traded for Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets for the 26th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Boban Marjanovic, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke, and Marquese Chriss.
Dragic, now 36-years-old, could help provide Doncic some veteran point guard knowledge for the future if he lands in Dallas.
