Atlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic is unlikely to play in September’s EuroBasket competition for his native Serbia, according to EuroHoops.
Bogdanovic has been dealing with soreness in his right knee dating back to both the 2022 regular and postseason, but he fought through it and was able to play.
However, Atlanta’s medical staff has suggested that the 29-year-old undergoes a routine operation this offseason to treat the knee pain.
Serbia will most likely be without Bogdanovic for the upcoming EuroBasket competition, but hopefully it’s not an issue for him entering the 2022-23 regular season.
Bogdanovic averaged 15.1 points on 43.1% shooting, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists across 63 games played with the Hawks last season.
