The Associated Press has reported that the Carolina Panthers are still interested in quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
Rumors have been swirling around the league focusing on both Garoppolo and Browns QB Baker Mayfield, but their contracts have been tough to work with.
Garoppolo is carrying a salary cap hit of a whopping $26,950,000 heading into the 2022 season.
The 30-year-old posted a 9-6 QB record last season, throwing for 3,810 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions completing 68.3% of his passes.
The quarterback drama will continue in San Francisco between Garoppolo and sophomore Trey Lance until a decision is made in the front office.
