The Kansas City Royals placed speedy outfielder Michael A. Taylor on the COVID-19 injured list.
It’s unclear whether Taylor has tested positive, but he was removed from Kansas City’s lineup Wednesday night and put it into health and safety protocols.
The 31-year-old had been hitting .238/.333/.337 in 117 plate appearances this season in 33 games.
Dairon Blanco out of Cuba has been called up to Kansas City’s active roster in a corresponding move on Thursday.
